A Dutch court has ordered Elon Musk’s xAI to cease the generation and distribution of non-consensual nude images, mandating fines of 100,000 euros per day for noncompliance. The ruling affects xAI’s Grok AI tool and its associated platform, X, following legal action from the Dutch organization Offlimits, which highlighted the creation of deepfake montages of naked individuals. Despite xAI’s claims of implemented safety measures, the court found these insufficient after a video of a nude person was produced shortly before the hearing.
