DryDel enters cape segment with double order at Namura

DryDel Shipping, led by Costas Dellaportas, has entered the capsize sector by ordering two scrubber-fitted 182,000 dwt vessels at Namura Shipbuilding in Japan for delivery in 2028. This joint venture with a Japanese partner will see DryDel commercially and technically manage both capes, adding to their existing orderbook of 10 ships to be delivered in the next four years. Previously ordering handysize bulkers at Namura, DryDel’s expansion into capsize vessels marks a strategic move for the Athens-based company.
