Drivers stranded in floodwaters as cold front sweeps east coast

Parts of Queensland’s south-east were hit by torrential rain, leading to drivers being stranded in floodwaters and requiring rescue by emergency services. Similar rescues were carried out in Rochedale and Rocklea. A severe weather warning has been issued for New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania as a strong cold front brings severe rain and damaging winds to the region, urging residents to stay indoors and avoid travel if possible.
