Alice Williams, a 9-year-old girl, was tragically killed by a speeding driver, Qadeer Hussain, who failed to stop at a red light while she was crossing the road in Halifax with her family on July 8, 2023. Hussain, driving at 49mph in a 30mph zone, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and was sentenced to eight years and five months in prison. Alice’s family hopes to raise awareness about the dangers of speeding and remember her as a loving and gentle daughter, devastated by the loss of their beloved child.
