A drunk driver, Anthony Gilheaney, 32, has been sentenced to a minimum of 37 years for murdering 25-year-old Aidan Chapman during a Christmas Day car rampage in London’s West End, where he deliberately hit six people. Gilheaney, who drove under the influence and had a history of being banned from driving, also committed racially and homophobically motivated attacks. The court heard he left a ‘trail of carnage’ and was found guilty of murder and attempted murder. Chapman’s family expressed their profound grief, stating no amount of justice can compensate for their loss.
