The incident occurred on August 3 in Frating, Essex, when Doocey attempted a dangerous overtaking maneuver in poor weather conditions, resulting in his van rolling over and hitting a tree. One passenger sustained a life-changing spinal injury, while the other suffered a broken ankle. Essex Police emphasized the reckless nature of his actions, which could have led to fatalities.
