NASA’s Kennedy Space Center workers conducted a countdown rehearsal in rare sub-freezing temperatures, preparing the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for a crucial fueling test scheduled for Monday, which is essential for the upcoming Artemis II mission set to launch four astronauts around the moon. The test was delayed due to predicted arctic weather, pushing the launch window from February 6 to no earlier than February 8. The Artemis II crew is currently in medical quarantine, while the launch team will practice loading over 750,000 gallons of cryogenic fuel into the rocket. If successful, the mission will proceed with limited launch opportunities remaining in February, and any further delays may move the launch to March.
