Drake Bell has criticized the cast of ‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide’ for making jokes about the Nickelodeon allegations.
The documentary series ‘Quiet On Set’ has brought to light allegations of a toxic and dangerous environment on the set of former children’s TV producer Dan Schneider’s shows, including ‘All That’, ‘The Amanda Show’, and ‘Drake and Josh’.
Drake revealed that he suffered “extensive and brutal” abuse from Nickelodeon dialogue coach Brian Peck, and he has spoken out after the cast of another Nickelodeon sitcom seemed to trivialize the situation.
During a TikTok live stream, actor Deven Werkheiser made inappropriate comments, prompting Drake and Lindsey Shaw to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation and condemn such jokes.
Drake, who claimed in the documentary that Schneider was unaware of the abuse, shared the video from the live stream and expressed his shock at the comments made.
While ‘Ned’s Declassified’ also aired on Nickelodeon, it was not a Schneider project, and the cast has praised creator Scott Fellows for the positive environment he created on set.
The documentary ‘Quiet On Set’ features allegations of a toxic environment at Schneider’s ‘The Amanda Show’, with actress Alexa Nikolas discussing her experience on ‘Zoey 101’, along with insights from cast and crew of ‘iCarly’, ‘Sam and Cat’, ‘Victorious’, and more.
In response to the allegations, Schneider’s representative acknowledged that while he demanded a lot from his teams and could be demanding, he regrets any negative experiences some individuals may have had while working with him.
