Author Douglas Murray has criticized the UK’s “very inept set of policies” regarding reports that British taxpayers have spent £36 billion on jobless legal migrants and international students.
Additionally, citizens are being informed that due to an aging population, they may have to retire later and receive a smaller pension.
Murray argues that instead of prioritizing high skilled workers, the government has favored low skilled workers.
“And students who, of course … do not pay their way,” he stated to Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“They are a burden on the state; they receive more in benefits than they contribute in taxation and likely always will.”
