A double-decker bus crashed into a railway bridge on A215 Portland Road in south London, peeling off its roof after the driver misjudged the height. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM, leading to road closures and disruptions in London Overground, Southern, and Thameslink services, with delays of up to 15 minutes expected. The bus, which had L plates indicating it was part of a learner driver’s lesson, was mostly empty, and footage showed the bus’s lower half slipping under the bridge while the roof was left hanging.
