Donald Trump has announced plans for a second state visit to the UK in September, hosted by King Charles at Windsor Castle, aiming to strengthen transatlantic relations following Trump’s tariffs on UK imports. During a recent Oval Office appearance, Trump expressed gratitude for the invitation, highlighting his respect for the royal family and noting it as a unique honor. Meanwhile, UK Labour leader Keir Starmer is focusing on securing a trade deal with the US, opting for concessions rather than retaliation against Trump’s tariffs, as the US vice-president suggests a beneficial trade agreement is possible.
