Tauranga couple feels safe in new Welcome Bay home after slip incident

A Tauranga couple, Denise Andrews and her husband, expressed confidence in moving into their newly-built home despite it being situated near a significant slip caused by recent storms. Having owned their property for 38 years, they recently demolished their old home to construct a new one. Although the slip seems to encroach upon their property, they have been assured that both the earth and the structure are secure. Denise remarked, “We’re very fortunate, we’re one of the lucky ones.”
