Disney+ Drops Dolby Vision and HDR10+ in Some European Countries
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Disney+ subscribers in several European countries, including Germany, Portugal, Poland, France, and the Netherlands, have lost access to Dolby Vision and HDR10+ features due to unspecified technical difficulties. While Disney stated they are working to restore these features, they have removed Dolby Vision references from their support page in Germany, listing HDR10 as the default. The situation may also involve legal issues stemming from a German court injunction against Disney by InterDigital over patent violations related to streaming technology. Although similar references have been removed from the US support page, no injunction has been issued there yet.
