Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, convicted of rape, was released on parole for the 12th time since 2017 from Sunaria Jail in Rohtak. Serving a 20-year sentence for rape and facing life-term for murder, Singh’s frequent paroles have drawn criticism, with opposition parties alleging voter manipulation and Sikh groups questioning justice for ‘Bandi Singhs’.
