Report: Denver gets NWSL's 16th team for $110M

Denver has been awarded the 16th franchise in the National Women’s Soccer League for a record $110 million fee, making it the largest ever paid for a U.S. women’s professional sports team. The investment group behind the bid includes IMA Financial Group CEO Robert Cohen, with support from Ben Hubbard, Tom Dunmore, Nicole Glaros, and Jordan Angeli. Denver, along with Boston, will join the league in 2026, with Boston having paid a $53 million expansion fee.
