Demonstrators in Arizona protested against President Trump’s mass deportation plan, leading to police officers being assaulted and a patrol vehicle being stolen before being recovered. Anti-deportation protests were also held in other cities across the country amid the administration’s efforts to increase deportation numbers. Despite the administration’s push for removal of all immigrants in the country illegally, studies show that both legal and illegal migrants commit crimes at lower rates than U.S. citizens.
