NEW DELHI: Delhi Capitals achieved their most resounding victory in IPL history by securing a convincing six-wicket win over Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. DC dominated from start to finish, displaying exceptional performances with both the ball and the bat.Restricting GT to a lowly total of 89 after opting to bowl, the Capitals’ bowlers displayed remarkable discipline and control to bundle out Gujarat in 17.3 overs.Subsequently, their batsmen chased down the target in just 8.5 overs with ease, highlighting their depth and skill. This comprehensive triumph not only boosts DC’s confidence but also massively boosts their NRR. Delhi, who were without injured David Warner, registered just their third win and second consecutive of this season, jumping three places to sixth in the 10-team table.IPL: POINTS TABLE | ORANGE CAP | PURPLE CAPThis was DC’s biggest win in terms of balls remaining (67), bettering their previous one against Punjab Kings (57) in Mumbai two years ago.Biggest IPL win for DC in balls remaining

DC skipper Rishabh Pant, making a remarkable comeback to this year’s IPL following a harrowing car crash, remained unbeaten on 16, showcasing his resilience and determination. Jake Fraser-McGurk, an Australian batter, contributed with a brisk 20 to support Pant in their pursuit of victory.Pant’s stellar performance in the tournament has seen him amass 210 runs, including two half-centuries, enhancing his prospects for a potential return to the T20 World Cup in June.Behind the stumps, Pant exhibited his agility and sharp reflexes, initiating proceedings with a diving catch to dismiss David Miller off Ishant Sharma’s bowling. He further showcased his prowess with two lightning-fast stumpings, sending back Abhinav Manohar and Shahrukh Khan in quick succession, courtesy of South African spinner Tristan Stubbs.Despite GT’s struggles at 66-7, Rashid Khan’s gritty knock of 31 off 24 balls provided some resistance before he was caught behind, with Pant completing a routine catch. Pant’s all-round contribution, both with the bat and behind the stumps, proved instrumental in DC’s commanding win.
