Deccan Development Society members protest, demand accountability

Over 600 women members of the Deccan Development Society gathered in Zaheerabad to demand justice and accountability, highlighting financial irregularities and mismanagement within the organisation. The meeting, chaired by Vasantha Kannabiran, discussed DDS’s history of empowering Dalit and indigenous women farmers but criticized current issues. Protesters submitted a memorandum to director Rukmini Rao and plan to escalate their grievances to the district collector and Praja Vani for further action.
