Deb ‘finds living hardest’. A new drug could be life-changing

Deb Fryers, a former film producer in Melbourne, fondly recalls her vibrant life before being diagnosed with primary myelofibrosis in 2019. The cancer has caused debilitating symptoms such as fatigue, anaemia, and loss of friendships. A new drug, momelotinib, developed by Melbourne scientists, has been approved by the TGA to help manage the symptoms of myelofibrosis, bringing hope and optimism to patients like Fryers.
