Death toll from Zimbabwe ferry capsizing reaches 84

Zimbabwean police have recovered additional bodies from the Lake Kariba ferry disaster, raising the death toll to at least 84. The overloaded vessel, which was carrying approximately 153 people despite a capacity of 90, capsized during severe winds near the Zambian border. Among the victims are at least 18 children. President Emmerson Mnangagwa called the incident tragic and emphasized the need for immediate improvements in safety protocols.
