David Tennant To Lead New ITV Drama About Another Real-Life Scandal

David Tennant stars as investigative journalist Nick Davies in ITV’s The Hack, a new seven-part series focusing on the phone-hacking scandal between 2002 and 2012. The show also features Robert Carlyle as Met Police Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Cook, Toby Jones as former editor of The Guardian Alan Rusbridger, and a star-studded cast including Rose Leslie, Steve Pemberton, and Katherine Kelly. Executive produced by Patrick Spence and written by Jack Thorne, The Hack aims to shed light on the fight for truth in a time where it is more important than ever, with filming completed in 2024 and a premiere expected on ITV1 in 2025.
