Dalaroo initiates 9km gold soil sampling program in West Africa

Dalaroo Metals has initiated a significant soil geochemical sampling campaign at the Goldridge prospect within its Bondoukou gold project in Côte d’Ivoire. The goal is to analyze a 9 km-long structural corridor, identified through aeromagnetic data and surface exploration, to develop drill-ready targets. The company plans to collect 4,400 soil samples in a grid layout across the corridor, which is known to influence gold systems in the region. So far, Dalaroo has opened 12.75 km of sampling lines and gathered 262 samples in the first week. The initial findings from previous rock-chip samples indicated gold grades as high as 17.95 grams per tonne, prompting further mapping to delineate a priority drill target corridor within the larger structural trend. The ongoing soil program aims to enhance the understanding of gold mineralization in the area and prepare for subsequent drilling activities.

Why It Matters

The Bondoukou gold project is situated within a region known for its rich Birimian greenstone-belt gold systems, which have historically yielded significant gold discoveries. Dalaroo’s sampling efforts are critical as they aim to define the extent and quality of gold mineralization in a promising structural corridor. Previous rock-chip samples have shown high-grade gold, underscoring the area’s potential for large-scale gold mining. As the results from the soil sampling accumulate, they could lead to the development of additional exploration targets and ultimately contribute to the growth of the gold mining sector in Côte d’Ivoire.
