New Zealand dairy processors are pleased with a new free trade deal with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the country’s second largest dairy market. The deal, following recent negotiations, will eliminate tariffs on key dairy products, providing certainty for exporters. Trade Minister Todd McClay commends the agreement, which marks New Zealand as the first major dairy exporter to secure an FTA with the GCC, delivering duty-free access for 99% of exports over 10 years.
