Six United Conservative Party MLAs Face Recall Petitions in Alberta
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Six United Conservative Party (UCP) MLAs, including five cabinet ministers and the Speaker, are facing recall petitions approved by Elections Alberta. The ministers include Myles McDougall, Muhammad Yaseen, Rajan Sawhney, RJ Sigurdson, and Dale Nally, along with Speaker Ric McIver. The UCP caucus emphasized that recalls should address serious misconduct, not political disagreements. Petitioners must gather 60% of the votes cast in their ridings by February 22, with Elections Alberta verifying results by March 15.
