The inaugural Climate Fiction Prize has been awarded to Nigerian author Abi Daré for her novel, And So I Roar, which explores the effects of environmental collapse on rural women in Nigeria. Daré, a University of Wolverhampton law graduate, received the £10,000 prize during a ceremony in London and expressed pride in contributing to global conversations. The Climate Prize aims to highlight impactful stories about climate change, emphasizing the need for narratives that foster understanding and action regarding this urgent issue.
