Cynthia Erivo To Play Jesus In First Role Since Wicked

Cynthia Erivo, known for her success in the movie Wicked, will play the title role in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl this summer. She is also nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars and could achieve EGOT status if she wins. Additionally, she will star in the musical sequel Wicked For Good and release her first album of original material later this year.
