Israel to expand military operation and seize 'large areas' of Gaza

Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz announced plans to expand military operations in Gaza and seize “large areas” to create security zones, aiming to clear the territory of terrorists. The move follows reports of escalating air strikes and shelling, with Israel ordering mass evacuations in Rafah and northern Gaza. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has worsened, with Israel blocking aid since March 2 and the UN reducing operations after medics and first responders were killed by Israeli forces.
