Summary
Motown legend Smokey Robinson is under criminal investigation in Los Angeles following allegations of sexual assault made by four anonymous housekeepers in a lawsuit filed on May 6. The women accuse the 85-year-old musician of sexual battery, false imprisonment, negligence, and gender violence, seeking $50 million in damages. Robinson has denied the accusations, claiming they are financially motivated and asserting confidence that the investigation will clear his name, while his attorney described the claims as manufactured attempts to tarnish the musician’s reputation.
