Former Daily Mail editor Paul Dacre has testified in the High Court, vehemently denying the “preposterous” allegations of unlawful newsgathering made against the paper. Seven individuals, including Prince Harry and Sir Elton John, are suing Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) for serious privacy breaches. Dacre, now editor-in-chief of DMG Media Ltd, expressed his anger and concern for his staff due to the negative impact of these allegations over the past three years. ANL maintains its denial of all claims related to unlawful information gathering.
