Abducted Israeli-Russian researcher Elizabeth Tsurkov freed in Iraq

An Israeli-Russian researcher, Elizabeth Tsurkov, has been released after months of torture by the Iraqi militia Kataib Hezbollah, as announced by US President Donald Trump. Tsurkov, who went missing during a research trip in March 2023, was handed over to the US embassy following extensive efforts by Iraqi security services.
