Yoweri Museveni and Bobi Wine Compete in Presidential Election

Ugandans are voting in a contentious election where President Yoweri Museveni, seeking to extend his 40-year rule, faces off against pop star-turned-politician Bobi Wine. The campaign has been marred by allegations of harassment against opposition supporters and a government-ordered internet blackout, raising concerns over electoral fairness. While Museveni emphasizes stability, Wine promises reforms amid escalating youth unemployment and infrastructure issues. Voting concludes at 16:00 local time, with results expected on Saturday.
