A few years ago, Netflix’s Ted Sarandos agreed to fund Guillermo del Toro’s dream projects, “Pinocchio” and “Frankenstein.” After the success of his dark-fantasy “Pinocchio” in 2022, del Toro’s long-awaited adaptation of “Frankenstein,” a project he has pursued for decades, is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
