An upcoming Shane Meadows film will be a “visual love letter” to his favourite holiday resort, as the acclaimed director shared while filming in Skegness. The film, titled Chalk, is a road trip story about two girls traveling from Margate to Edinburgh, revealed during a conversation with local artist John Byford. Meadows reminisced about his childhood experiences, mentioning a family friend’s static caravan in Ingoldmells, which influenced his connection to the location.
