Former Australian batter Will Pucovski, aged 27, announced his retirement due to concerns over repeated concussions, with a total of 12 known concussions in his career. He made his only Test appearance in 2021, scoring 62 against India before dislocating his shoulder. Pucovski’s decision to retire was influenced by a scary incident in March 2024, where he was hit by a bouncer while playing for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield, leading him to prioritize his brain health and avoid further damage.
