Health Secretary Neil Gray has apologized for using ministerial cars to attend four Aberdeen football games, admitting he should have attended a wider range of matches to avoid the appearance of favoritism. Gray used the chauffeur service for five Scotland games as well, with family members or guests accompanying him at six matches. Despite calls for investigation, First Minister John Swinney considers the matter closed after Gray’s statement addressed the concerns raised by opposition parties about the use of taxpayer-funded vehicles for personal reasons.
