Trump Administration Targets Chinese Student Visas
The Trump administration, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, plans to aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students in the US, particularly those linked to the Chinese Communist Party or studying in critical fields. This comes amid deteriorating US-China relations and an ongoing trade war, with fears among international students that halted visa appointments could jeopardize their academic futures. The changes may further impact US universities, which heavily rely on foreign students for funding.
