Kangaroo ‘tries to drown’ man in Australia floodwaters

A “really muscly” kangaroo attacked Don James in Australia, attempting to drown him in floodwaters near Port Macquarie after a confrontation. Witness Kristy Lees described the scene, noting that the kangaroo, likely distressed from record flooding, chased James and engaged him in a boxing match before overpowering him in the water. After the kangaroo was spooked by an approaching car, James escaped, recounting the traumatic experience, which follows a previous encounter with a great white shark.
