Cuba is inviting Cuban Americans and exiles abroad to invest in businesses on the island, removing impediments to US businesses and foreign investors. Deputy Prime Minister Oscar Perez-Oliva Fraga announced that Cubans living abroad can participate in various development areas, especially in agriculture. The policy shift comes as Cuba seeks to revive its collapsed economy amid US-imposed sanctions and a US embargo.
