Cuba reports fifth death following shootout with speedboat from Florida

Cuban authorities reported that a fifth person died from injuries sustained during a shootout involving a Florida-registered speedboat that allegedly fired on soldiers off Cuba’s northern coast. The Ministry of Interior stated that the passengers were armed Cubans from the U.S. attempting to infiltrate the island to commit acts of terrorism. Four individuals were killed, and six were injured during the incident, prompting charges of terrorism against six suspects.
