Dubravka Šuica has been re-nominated as Croatia’s candidate for the European Commission by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. She previously served as Vice-President for Democracy and Demography in the Commission. Šuica’s re-nomination comes after the previous Commission’s term ended, and she will now undergo a confirmation process in the European Parliament.

Besieged Reeves hit by even worse than expected economic growth forecast
Rachel Reeves received a boost with the Bank of England cutting interest rates to aid economic growth, benefiting businesses and mortgage holders. However, growth expectations were halved due to increased NHS spending in her Budget, leading to projections of rising inflation.
