DJ Tim Westwood pleads not guilty to rape and assault charges

Former BBC Radio 1 and Capital Xtra DJ Tim Westwood has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including four counts of rape and nine counts of indecent assault, relating to allegations from seven women, some as young as 17, between 1983 and 2016. Notably, three indecent assaults are alleged to have occurred in BBC studios in 1996. Westwood, 68, appeared at Southwark Crown Court and was granted bail until his trial, set to begin in January 2027.
