Two Bulgarian women, Cvetelina Gencheva and Tsvetanka Doncheva, were identified as part of a Russian spy network operating from the UK, conducting surveillance operations against targets including journalists. Gencheva used her position in the airline industry to gather flight details of targets, while Doncheva spied on investigative journalist Christo Grozev in Vienna. Both women were named after a BBC investigation revealed their roles in the sophisticated spy network directed by Jan Marsalek, threatening lives and targeting those who investigated Russian espionage.
