More than 30 jihadists killed in air strikes, Nigerian military says

Nigeria’s military has killed 35 jihadists in air strikes near the Cameroon border to prevent attacks on ground troops, amid a decade-long battle against jihadist groups and rising violence. Prominent Nigerians have expressed alarm over increasing violence, citing over 10,200 deaths since President Tinubu took office, and called for a task force to address ongoing conflicts, including Boko Haram’s resurgence.
