Annual inflation rate hit 2.6% in October, meeting expectations

Inflation rose in October, with the consumer price index increasing by 0.2% for the month and reaching a 12-month rate of 2.6%, in line with expectations. The core CPI, excluding food and energy, also accelerated by 0.3% for the month and was at 3.3% annually, meeting forecasts.
