Met inspector's messages ruled as gross misconduct

A panel found Insp Charles Ehikioya, head of the Met’s Black Police Association, guilty of gross misconduct for sending racist, sexist, and inappropriate messages in a WhatsApp chat with former officer Carlo Francisco. The messages included jokes about various offensive topics and were deemed to damage public confidence in the police service. Both officers faced consequences for their involvement in the inappropriate chat.
