Attack on Kindergarten in Sudan Reported

A drone attack in Kalogi, South Kordofan, Sudan, reportedly killed at least 50 people, including 33 children, with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) accused of the strike by the Sudan Doctors’ Network and the army. The RSF has denied responsibility, instead alleging the army attacked a market in Darfur. UNICEF condemned the attack on the kindergarten as a severe violation of children’s rights and called for an end to hostilities. The ongoing conflict in Sudan, which began in April 2023, has intensified, particularly in the Kordofan region.
