An inmate, Santino Casio, serving a life sentence for murder, allegedly stabbed Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, 14 times at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, resulting in serious injuries that required hospitalization. Lanez, currently serving a 10-year sentence for shooting fellow musician Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, suffered collapsed lungs but is reportedly in good spirits. The attack has prompted Lanez’s supporters to express concern, while he has hinted at releasing a new album from prison titled “Peterson.”
