Amber cold weather alerts issued ahead of snow

Temperatures have dropped in the UK, with amber cold weather alerts issued ahead of a weekend of snow. Yellow warnings for snow and ice are in place for much of England and Wales, with cold conditions expected to continue into Monday. Flood warnings are still in effect in north-west England following heavy rain and strong winds.
