Interest in North Queensland being part of the NRL’s 2025 season opener in Las Vegas is high, with CEO Jeff Reibel stating that the Cowboys are eager to participate.

Following the success of round one in Las Vegas last week, the NRL is looking to decide on the four teams for next year’s event sooner rather than later.

The Cowboys recently reached out to fans for travel packages to join the 2025 extravaganza in Las Vegas, receiving positive feedback from 2000 people within 24 hours.

Reibel expressed the team’s interest, acknowledging the commercial significance and the need to consult with coaches on the performance data.

Despite the geographical challenges, the Cowboys have a strong off-field presence that could make them a drawcard in Las Vegas.

Reibel credited the loyal league community as the driving force behind the interest in Las Vegas.

He highlighted the large fan base and strong support for the team, emphasizing the significant corporate hospitality sales and season memberships.

The Cowboys are set to kick off their NRL season against the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium this Sunday.

Both Reibel and Dolphins chief Terry Reader attended a CEO conference in Las Vegas, with Reader expressing the Dolphins’ interest in participating in the 2025 event as well.

Reader emphasized the learning opportunity from observing the previous clubs’ experiences in Las Vegas and noted the valuable insights gained for the upcoming event.
