Council finally releases settlement payment to former CEO

After more than six months and an intervention by the chief ombudsman, Christchurch’s council has released former chief executive Dawn Baxendale’s exit payment. Baxendale resigned last November after four tumultuous years, a year before her contract ended. The council did not disclose payments initially, stating there would be no further comment.
